How to work the knitwear: The Utu Cardigan may be simple on purpose, but it doesn’t compromise on style: the yarn is supercool light and airy brushed alpaca, the body is a bit cropped and relaxed, when the super long sleeves and wide cuffs can shine and make the cardigan as the ultimate fashion piece right now. If you don’t want long sleeves, simply roll them up or knit shorter ones and wear the cardigan with high waist jeans or a dress – I love tucking the hem under the waistline. Choose your favourite colour that you want to wear all the time and finish the look with 5 buttons that suit to your own style.
The cardigan is worked seamlessly top down. First work the yoke, separate the sleeves from the body and work both. Finally, pick up stitches from the front and neck for the button band.
The instructions are intended to familiarize you with abbreviations, which will help tackle more demanding instructions later on.

Size guide
The cardigan is designed to be worn with approx. 10-20 cm / 4-8” of positive ease at bust for a relaxed look. The waistline ribbing is tighter than the bust, but it loosens with wear. First, measure your own bust (or your widest upper body part). Then, add 10-20 cm / 4-8” to your bust circumference. Compare that number to the finished measurements (below) and choose the closest size. You can also measure your favourite cardigan.

5 mm (US8) and 6.5 mm (US10.5) circular needle and DPNs for the sleeves if you don’t magic loop.
Notions
8 removable stitch markers, 5 buttons (diameter approx. 2 cm / 0.75”), tapestry needle.
Gauge
13 sts x 20 rnds = 10 cm / 4” in stockinette st with 6.5 mm (US10.5) needle.
