How to work the knitwear: Effortless stitch pattern is comfortable to work flat as a cardigan, even more so than plain stockinette stitch. The eye-catching collar has short rows at the back of the neck, while pockets add the finishing touches.
The cardigan is worked seamlessly flat from the top down. First, cast on stitches for the neckline and work the raglan yoke, separate sleeve stitches from the body and work the body. Then, work the sleeves. Finally, pick up stitches from the front and neck and work the front band and collar using German short rows. If you want, you can add pockets too. Buttons will finish off the look.

The cardigan is designed to be worn with approx. 10-25 cm / 4-9.75” of positive ease at bust - so the size doesn’t have to be too precise. First, measure your own bust (or your widest upper body part). Then, add 10-25 cm / 4-9.75” to your bust circumference. You can also measure your favourite cardigan - the size depends on whether you prefer an oversized or a more fitted style. Compare that number to the finished measurements (below) and choose the closest size.
